DESCRIPTION:FORM: \nExplore the many ways form is manifest in the visual arts. Consider the importance of form in the implied space of 2D images and the physical space of 3D works\, and how form relates to our experience of our bodies and the natural world. \nThese lectures\, given by Michael O’Keefe\, will thoroughly explore various fundamental ideas of visual art. In each lecture\, participants will view many examples of works of art that demonstrate a dynamic use of a particular art idea. Michael will discuss the nature of these concerns and how they are integrated into the compositions of the examples shown. Each topic will be considered as it relates to 2D and 3D art. The goal of these sessions is to help participants develop a more keen and complex understanding of essential art ideas. \n
